Camps, Tours, Outings and Travel
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” – Mary Ritter Beard
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust
Camps, Tours, Outings And Travel
Educational Excursions play a pivotal role in modern day learning because learners gain practical experience, learn how to be part of a team, adjust to new environments and overcome certain stereotyped opinions and in some cases fear.
Learning outside of a classroom and encouraging learners to participate in this is a valuable part of the learning experience as often they are confronted with real examples and they learn how to apply themselves rather than rote learn.
Going on tours allows for a much better understanding of concepts, the learners are more inquisitive and it allows for a kind of learning that can only happen outside the classroom and with first hand exposure. The more relaxed learning atmosphere allows the learners to mix in different social groups and creates better class unity after the tour.
Our excursions are not only restricted to camps; we endeavour to take our children on as many day tours as possible. We firmly believe that our children need to explore the country in which they live and there are so many hidden gems in and around the City of Gold.
